Confidentiality is embedded in our way of working. We work in a culture of trust with our clients, with each candidate we interact with (via websites, by email, by telephone, by interview, fax, or social media), and with every visitor to our website.
CAREERPOINT takes your privacy very seriously and considers it important for your data (referred to below as "your data") to be treated with the necessary care and confidentiality at all times.
Your data is processed by CAREERPOINT. CAREERPOINT is a legal entity registered in Lithuania. If you have questions regarding the processing of your data, you can contact us by email privacy@careerpoint.lt.

CAREERPOINT takes your privacy very seriously. In the context of our interactions with you as a (potential) candidate for a vacancy with a client, all personal data that we obtain will be collected and processed following applicable data protection legislation, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (hereinafter “GDPR”). This privacy notice explains why and how we collect your data, the measures we take to protect your data, and how long we retain your data. The GDPR also grants you certain rights as a data subject, which you can find below.
1.1. Purposes
We collect personal data from you as a (potential) candidate to allow us to contact you concerning vacancies with our clients, and to assist our clients in selecting candidates for vacancies. We may also need your data in the context of accounting activities and litigation management.

We collect your data because it is a necessity for the performance of our commitments to you. We may also process your data because (i) you have given your consent thereto (for example, in case you have provided us with sensitive data), (ii) we have a legal obligation (for example, tax and accounting regulations) or (iii) we have a legitimate interest that requires us to process your data (for example, in case of a dispute).

For the purposes mentioned above, we may collect and process the following personal data:
- Identification information;
- Personal details: including age, gender, date of birth, place of birth, marital status, and nationality;

- Work-related data: including CV, education, diplomas, language skills, employer (incl. background), professional position professional activities, professional skills, publications, salary, assessment & development reports, interview report, reference checks, social media profiles;
- Lifestyle preferences and personality profile: including hobbies, social activities, personality, and community involvement;
- Public data: including publicly available data (e.g., press reports, your profile on professional social networks);
- Video recordings and/or pictures;
- Other information provided to us.
1.4. Special categories of data
We will not process special categories of data (e.g., medical data, political views, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership) unless you provide it to us with your explicit written consent.
1.5. Source of personal data
When we engage with you as a (possible) candidate, we gather personal information about you. This includes data from communications and applications for jobs made through our website, job board, social media (such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter), phone calls, emails, meetings, job fairs, training sessions, seminars, or networking events, as well as data from your resume. In some cases, we might also get some information from outside sources, including clients who send us your CV or your referees, or we might get it from publicly accessible data.
1.6. Recipients of personal data
We might need to give your personal information to the following third parties for the aforementioned reasons, only if it is deemed reasonably necessary:
- (potential) clients;
- companies that provide professional services to us or on our behalf (including but not limited to: accountants, lawyers and legal advisors, payroll administrators, hosting servers, and data storage servers);

Your personal information is only disclosed to clients insofar as it is a necessity to assess your suitability for the position for which you are applying. If we have a reasonable opinion that sharing your personal information is required to (i) safeguard CAREERPOINT's legitimate interests, (ii) defend CAREERPOINT against legal claims, or (iii) stop a crime or stop or detect fraud, then we may do so. Your personal information won't be given to any other party for direct marketing purposes.

Your data will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area without appropriate safeguards. Regardless of where your information is processed, we apply the same protections described in this policy. We also comply with the rules relating to the transfer of data.

We do not engage in automated decision-making.
